Forgive me for being a tad late with my update, but it has taken me months to recuperate after learning of my son's death in January, on his birthday.
After a year of entertaining readers with my book, "Hope and Desire," I'm almost finished with, "Moonlight,"  a paranormal romance that tells the story of Jessica Aiden, a werewolf who dreams of becoming completely human, to marry a human and raise a family.
She searches for a way to make this possible, and after falling in love with a fellow student, Carl, at the Northern Arizona University, she discovers a way. When she learns that her father,Saul, whom she thought was her biological father is not, but a human, Manley, who lives in Phoenix and works as a professor of biology at the University of Phoenix, West Valley Learning Center, is her biological father, she is determined to get samples of his blood to make an antigen that  she believes will render her  human.
She leaves the University of Arizona and Carl because she believes that it is  only a matter of time before he discovers her secret and she fears losing him as much as she fears changing into a beast when the moon is full.
She enrolls in professor Manley's  class and ingratiates herself in his life, hoping to find some way of obtaining his blood without him knowing her secret and who she is.
I'm writing two stories at a time, one during the, day, and one during the night. For those who enjoyed "Hope and Desire," I promise to make these two novels equally interesting, intriguing and romantic.

Enjoy your winter and I'll do the same. I plan to follow Oprah's advice and live my best life. Let's all have a positive and productive new year and support each other.

Urban Essence

Sorry about that, things have been really crazy around here. Here is the interview we did.

UrbanEssence.net Interview

How are you today?
I'm well, thank you for asking.
I want to thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk with me.
Thank you for this interview. It's a privilege.
Can you tell our readers a little about your most recent book?
Hope and Desire is a contemporary short anthology. It is the story of Jennifer Greene, a young girl who dreams of going to New York to become a fashion designer. Her father dies suddenly, her mother marries his best friend, and Jennifer is forced to put her education aside to care for her younger siblings. She finally goes to New York, is tricked into marriage by a man twice her age who refuses to let her go. She escapes, falls in love and finds herself a suspect for murder.
What other books if any have you written?
My first book, "A Faithful Choice," was self-published by Xlibris in the year 2000, and my second book, "All MY Bright Tomorrows, a spin off of the first book, was self-published by Paper Tigers in 2002.
How did you come up with the story line?
I came up with the story line in a dream. I don't dream often, but this particular night, I dreamed about a feisty young woman who reminded me of my aunt Gladys, very outspoken and says what she is thinking.
What do you think inspired you to write?
I liked some of the books that I read but often thought that their endings should have been different. I told myself that I could do better and I sat down to write.
When can we expect to see more from you?
I am writing a longer novel titled, "Love, Passion and Hate," and I expect to finish and publish it this summer.
What advise do you have for other writers that are trying to make it?
Read everything and anything about your genre. Study your craft and other authors who have made it. Join writing groups and organizations that can help you. Pay close attention to what editors and publishers want, and write a good story beginning with a great hook; one that will make them want to publish.
It was a pleasure talking to you, and we look forward to reading more of your work.
Thank you. It was a pleasure talking to you.
